The fisherman

Last semester I made a sketch for an engraving, in which a pirate was fishing at the deck when he received a lightning discharge. The other day I found the sketch and I used it as a starting point for this watercolour with collage. It was a quick and funny exercise. I hope you find it refreshing!

El semestre pasado hice un boceto para un grabado, en que un pirata pescando en cubierta recibía la descarga de un rayo. El otro día encontré el boceto y lo utilice como base para hacer esta acuarela con collage. Fue un ejercicio rápido y divertido. ¡Espero que os resulte refrescante!

¿Me quiere?

Who could say they have never pulled the petals off a marguerite wondering if he or she loves you back? I have done it sometime, more for reproducing a scene that in movies is shown as the summit of romanticism rather than searching for amorous answers. The truth is, later on I felt sad for having destroyed a flower…

¿Quién no ha deshojado nunca una margarita preguntándose si su amor es correspondido? Yo lo hice alguna vez, más por recrear una escena que en las películas era el súmmum del romanticismo que por que necesitara o esperar respuestas amorosas. La verdad es que luego me sentía mal por haber destrozado una flor…

Atrapar un estel

I made this short animation for a course in university. It’s made in the traditional style: handmade drawings over light table put together with CTP (software). It’s really amateur level but I had great fun doing it!

The image is quite pixelated because my scanner wasn’t working well with the animation software.

Hice este corto para una asignatura de animación en la universidad. Está hecha al estilo tradicional: dibujos a mano sobre mesa de luz juntados con CTP (software).  Es nivel de principiante, pero lo pasé muy bien haciéndolo!

La imagen está bastante pixelada porque mi escáner no iba muy bien con el programa de animación.

Sheets tent

Some weeks ago I passed next to a garden where some kids had made a sheets tent between two trees. They were having so much fun! It brought me very nice memories and I felt like to do this drawing :)

Hace unas semanas, pasé por delante de un jardín donde unos niños habían montado una cabaña con sabanas entre dos árboles. ¡Se lo estaban pasando en grande! Me trajo muy buenos recuerdos y me dieron ganas de hacer este dibujo :)

Bombones

This drawing is based in a scene of another watercolour I did some time ago and that I had the feeling of being able of improving it. I’ve tried to make it more complete, by adding the character of the mother and more details such as the chef’s hat and the apron. 

El dibujo, está basado en una escena de otra acuarela que hice hace un tiempo y que ahora tenía la sensación de poder mejorar. He intentado hacerla más completa, añadiendo el personaje de la madre y más detalles, como el gorro o el delantal. 

Arya Stark

This is Arya, a “Game of Thrones” character. She is the younger daughter of the Stark house; she is brave and has a great personality. Esta es Arya, un personaje de “Juego de Tronos”. Es la hija menor de la casa de los Stark, es muy valiente y tiene una gran personalidad. Disfraces

This is another watercolour about childhood games. All of you who had older sisters would know what I’m talking about. I dedicate it to my little brother who, in his day, had to go through similar things when playing fancy dresses with me. 

Otra acuarela sobra juegos de infancia. Todos los que tengáis hermanas mayores sabréis de lo que estoy hablando. Yo se la dedico a mi hermano pequeño, que en su día, tuvo que pasar por cosas similares cuando jugábamos a disfrazarnos.
